Mark Your Calendars! November 22, 2018 - Homecoming and The 1978 Group 1 State
Champions Palmyra Pals will be honored!!!
Calling all 1978 Palmyra Pals Group 1 State Champions. This year marks the 40th anniversary of the Pals winning the state championship. With the 11-1 season, many records were tied and broken along with a huge 38-0 win against Florence to end the season! This amazing team, under the coaching of legendary Coach Bill Palmer, Coach Bud Mauer and Coach Chuck Zuschnitt and lead by a group of overachieving seniors and determined juniors, gave PHS the ultimate prize, bringing home the gold; a State Championship. Something that hasn't been done again!
On Thanksgiving Day, November 22, 2018 we will honor these #PalmyraProudChampions at the Turkey Day Game against Burlington City; a timeless archrival tradition at PHS. We're hoping to have all coaches and players at this historic celebration.
If you plan to attend, please contact Joan Toye Sambuco via Facebook or on the PHS Alumni Website. All team members and coach should sport those beautiful championship jackets (if you still have it and it fits)! Everyone else will be in our favorite #PalmyraProud gear!!
Also, Homecoming is scheduled on Thanksgiving Day as well.
